By accessing or using Toolvia ("the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the service. These terms apply to all visitors and users.

2. Description of Service

Toolvia provides free, browser-based file utilities including PDF tools, image editors, file converters, QR/barcode generators, a ZIP extractor, a word counter, and a password security center. All file processing is performed client-side in your browser. The service is provided free of charge with no registration required.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Toolvia only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the service to process files you do not own or have the right to process
• Attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or exploit the service infrastructure
• Use automated tools to send excessive requests to the service
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Process files containing malware, illegal content, or content that infringes third-party rights

4. Intellectual Property

The Toolvia source code, design, and branding are owned by the service operators. The open-source libraries used within the service (pdf-lib, JSZip, qrcode, jsbarcode, lucide-react) are governed by their respective open-source licenses (MIT). You retain full ownership of any files you process using the service.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses. While we implement strong security measures, no software system can guarantee 100% security under all circumstances. You use the service at your own risk.

Important for PDF Compressor: While we apply lossless structural optimisation, we recommend keeping a backup of important documents before processing. If compression does not reduce file size (already-optimised PDFs), the original file is returned unchanged.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Toolvia and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of the service or any files you process through it.

7. Availability and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without prior notice. We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the service after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before resorting to formal legal proceedings.
